Wireless Charging & Inductive Power Transfer
Our experience in wireless charging runs deep.
In 2009, Moetion’s CEO, Ben Moes, began working at Fulton Innovation on early wireless charging technologies. Over the following years, that team developed solutions for a wide range of products – from earbuds, phones, and laptops to blenders and even an electric vehicle application. This work helped lay the foundation for what became the Qi standard, now the de-facto global standard for mobile wireless charging.
During this time, Ben supported new technology development, assisted with patent portfolio management, and evaluated competitive technologies – experience that continues to shape Moetion’s approach today.
After Fulton Innovation, Ben continued designing wireless charging into consumer and medical devices. In 2018, he joined Inductive Intelligence, a startup focused on combining wireless charging with induction heating – further expanding Moetion’s expertise at the intersection of power transfer and thermal systems.
Since then, the Moetion team has continued to support wireless charging and induction-based applications across industries, including:
- Low-frequency (<50 kHz) induction charging for implantable Class III medical devices
- Induction charging for handheld Class I medical devices
- NFC charging solutions for consumer products
- Custom induction solutions for specialized 26 MHz applications
- Traditional Qi-based wireless charging systems
